This is one of the many birds I saw during my morning walk, along with northern flicker, spotted towhee, oak titmouse, wild turkey, etc. It was a good bird day.

Happy New Deer
And we’re back! After completing my first year I was pretty sure I was going to keep going, but I also thought I might take a break first. However, I went out walking at the nature center today and of course I took the camera along…. so, here’s some deer.

Drive By Photography
I took this photo on the way home from the office tonight. This section of the American River is like a big reflective mirror, but the road I take is a highway with no place to stop, so I just have to hold my cellphone up and see what I can get. This spot looks especially lovely at night when there is moonlight.
