Ready Yet?
I found one of the photos I never got around to uploading way back when. I think I’ve just got one more to locate and the gaps in my project will be filled.
My cat, Bones, waiting for me in the laundry room because he wants to go outside. He can’t be trusted out there on his own with the birds, squirrels, etc.
New Skin
This is the last of the harlequin beetle photos. I finally had to evict them from the garden. The yellow beetle in this photo has recently shed his black and red skin. He’ll be yellow for a few hours then he’ll return to normal harlequin colors.
Talons
I have no idea what happened to my June 3rd photo. Me being me, I trust that I took a photo that day, but I can’t find one with that date, so I’ll have to assume it was crap and was deleted in a fit of frustration. I looked through June photos that haven’t been posted here and was surprised that I never uploaded one of Echo, the resident great horned owl at the nature center near my house.
Looking at the date this was taken, I remember that Echo’s photo was bumped in favor of a rattlesnake I ran into that day. So, as a filler here is a close-up of Echo’s lethal talons. If I need a filler in the future, maybe you’ll get to see her face.

Little Monster
Oops, I had my ISO cranked up for low light photography yesterday and forgot to reset it today; therefore this picture required some photoshop tweaking (not that there is anything wrong with that). There is still quite a bit of noise in the image, but I’m going with it anyway. So there.

Reel Deal
I hardly ever pay attention to this old mower since I don’t have any lawn left, but I still keep it around. Today as I was cleaning up around the potting shed I noticed the mower leaning against the wall and had to admire its vintage charm.
Making Marmalade
My sister gave me a huge bowl of kumquats from her tree, so I decided to make marmalade with them. It was certainly a colorful activity!
