It’s Farm to Fork week in my town, and one of the biggest events was a dinner on Tower Bridge. The bridge was shut down all day to prepare for the 600 guests who would be dining on locally grown foods that evening.

Farm to Fork Capital
After decades fighting against its reputation as a ”cow town,” today Sacramento secured that nickname forever by staging a cattle drive over Tower Bridge and straight down to the capitol building to kick off Farm to Fork week.
Sacramento is the Farm to Fork capital of America… according to Mayor Kevin Johnson. I guess this title will stand until the day some other city claims rights to it, at which point there may be a fight. Perhaps with forks.

My lunch today was a BLT sandwich, with the L & T harvested from my garden, the B a vegan version made by my sister, and the bread baked by me this morning.
